The best leadership team activities put senior people in a shared problem, with real stakes and a facilitator who turns what happened into agreed behavior. In Singapore, that usually means one of four formats: a personality-profiling workshop, a business simulation, a team challenge such as an Amazing Race, or a shared outdoor experience such as sailing. Below, we explain what each builds, what it costs per person with us, and how to pick one for your leadership group.
TL;DR
- Pick the activity for the outcome you need: trust, communication, decision-making or alignment. Fun alone is not an outcome.
- Profiling workshops and business simulations suit leadership teams best. Active challenges work well when you want a reset or a looser, more honest room.
- Our published prices run from $35 to $159 per person depending on format, with rentals billed hourly.
- Check group size, duration, venue, weather backup, equipment and safety before you commit.
- A short debrief tied to your own work is what turns an activity into leadership development.

What leadership team activities should actually achieve
A leadership team is a different audience from a department outing. These people already make decisions together, often under pressure, and they rarely get time to examine how they do it. A good activity creates that time.
Three outcomes are worth designing for.
A shared picture of how the team works. In a field study of 71 action teams in the Singapore Armed Forces, similarity in how members organized team knowledge predicted team performance. Teams whose members thought about tasks and teamwork in similar ways found it easier to coordinate and agree on priorities. For a leadership group, that translates into activities that make assumptions visible: who decides, who waits, who speaks first.
Self-awareness and awareness of others. Singapore’s universities build this into leadership training too. NTU’s Emergent Leadership programme aims to help student leaders understand their own and others’ leadership traits, develop a common vision and work better as a team, with communication training that covers difficult conversations and influencing others. Corporate leaders need the same skills, with higher stakes.
Trust in the person at the top. A study of 246 executives in Singapore by Pillai and colleagues found that transformational leadership influenced job satisfaction and commitment partly through trust in the leader, as well as through perceptions of fairness. Activities in which leaders show how they handle uncertainty, share credit and ask for help give their teams evidence to build that trust on.
Notice what is missing from this list: competition for its own sake, and prizes. Those can add energy, but the learning comes from the conversation afterward.
Activity formats that work for leadership teams
Profiling workshops: understand how each leader communicates
If your leadership team has new members, recently merged, or keeps hitting the same friction in meetings, start here. Profiling gives people a neutral vocabulary for differences that otherwise feel personal. One leader is blunt and fast, another wants data first, a third keeps the room calm. None is wrong, but they clash without a shared language.
We run two versions. The Modified DISC Workshop is priced at $70-82 per person and is built around interaction. The DISC Personality Profiling workshop is priced at $150-159 per person and is the deeper format for senior groups. Our Office Dynamics Workshop, at $80-90 per person, focuses on how people work together day to day.
What to ask of any profiling session: that results connect to real scenarios, such as how the team runs a budget review, rather than ending with a colorful report.

Business simulations: watch real decision-making
Simulations show you how a leadership team behaves when the answer is not obvious. Our Office Shark Tank, from $92 per person, has teams develop and pitch ideas to a panel, which exposes how groups prioritize, challenge each other and handle being challenged. It suits leadership groups because pitching and critiquing are what leaders do anyway, only with low consequences here.
The value comes from the debrief. Ask who framed the problem, who was overruled, what information was ignored and how the team would run the same decision next quarter.
Team challenges: reset the room and reveal roles
Challenges that require navigation, splitting tasks and reporting back are a fast way to see natural leadership patterns. Who takes charge, who delegates, who checks the map?
- Amazing Race: $65-78 per person. Teams complete tasks across a route, with strategy and time pressure.
- App-based Amazing Race: $40-55 per person. A lighter version that runs on an app.
- Running Man Challenge: $72-82 per person. A game-based format with a quicker pace.
- Garden Odyssey: $68-90 per person. A calmer, outdoor format for groups that prefer thinking over sprinting.
- Bicycle Scavenger Hunt: $45-55 per person.

Active games: energy, humor and honesty
Senior teams sometimes need to lose the formality before they can talk openly. Games like Combat Skirmish Laser Tag ($37-45 per person), Bloop Bubble Soccer ($36-43 per person) and Kinball ($35-45 per person) do that. They also give you live material: how does the team communicate under pressure, adapt a plan at half time, or support a struggling teammate?

Pair these with a structured 20-minute debrief and they become more than a break from work.
Shared experiences: build relationships away from the table
Some leadership groups work well together on paper but know little about each other. Our Katong/Joo Chiat Cultural Food Immersion ($82-98 per person) puts a group on a guided walk through one of Singapore’s best-loved neighborhoods. Corporate Sailing Team Building ($125 per person) asks a group to coordinate, communicate and trust each other on the water. Both suit regional leadership gatherings, where the visiting team gets a distinctly Singaporean experience.
Techniques that make any activity more useful
The activity is the container. These techniques decide what comes out.
- Structured turn-taking. Give each person a set time to speak before open discussion. Quieter leaders contribute, and louder ones learn to listen. Practitioners also suggest anonymous idea capture and timeboxed decision workshops to support psychological safety and speed.
- Role rotation. Make the person who usually leads act as observer for one round. It changes who sees what.
- A stated purpose. Tell the group in advance why you are doing this, such as improving how the team handles disagreement. Vague purposes produce vague results.
- One commitment per person. End with each leader naming a single behavior they will change before the next leadership meeting, and revisit it then.
- A short follow-up. A 30-minute check-in two to four weeks later is often enough to show whether the session shifted anything.

Large groups
If your leadership event includes the wider management layer, say 60 to 200 people, choose formats that split into teams running in parallel: Amazing Race variations, app-based hunts or rotating game stations. Assign a senior leader to each team and mix functions and countries so people meet new colleagues. Our guide to outdoor team building for large corporate groups covers this in more detail.
Mixed abilities and hybrid teams
Not every leader wants to run, sail or wear a bubble suit. Offer a choice of roles, such as navigator, scorer or strategist, so everyone contributes without a physical test. Workshop and walking formats are a natural fit for mixed fitness levels. For hybrid sessions, practitioners recommend clear roles, equal turn-taking and shared documents in real time, with captions and camera-optional policies for accessibility. Tell us about accessibility needs when you brief us and we will shape the program around them.
Executive and C-suite groups
Small senior groups usually want fewer games and more substance: a profiling workshop, a simulation or a facilitated offsite with a working agenda. See our page on executive team building in Singapore for how we approach it.
CSR and giving back
If your leaders want to combine bonding with community impact, our SG60 CSR Programs bring teams together around giving back. Pricing is not published, so contact us with your group size and goals.
What to check before you book
Work through this list with your event planner or with us.
- Objective. One sentence: what should leaders do differently afterward? Everything else follows from it.
- Group size. Confirm minimum and maximum numbers for the format and how teams will be split.
- Duration. A profiling workshop or simulation needs time for debrief. Plan for the debrief to take at least a quarter of the session.
- Venue. Indoor, outdoor or mixed? For a conference, check travel time from the hotel or meeting venue, and whether the activity can run in or near it.
- Weather backup. Singapore’s rain can arrive suddenly. Ask for an indoor alternative or covered setup. We offer mobile portable tentage at $95 per day per tent for outdoor events.
- Equipment. Confirm what the provider supplies. If you run your own event, rentals are billed hourly: Bloop bubble suits at $28 per hour per ball, and laser tag guns at $25-33 per hour per gun.
- Safety. Ask about briefings, facilitators on site, and options for participants with injuries, pregnancy or medical conditions. Anyone with a health concern should check with their own doctor before joining a physical activity.
- Cost. Ask what is included per person, and what is added for venue, transport, food or rentals.
- Follow-up. Decide who owns the debrief commitments afterward.
Our perspective
We have run many leadership sessions in Singapore, and the pattern is consistent. The activity people remember is rarely the one that was most elaborate. It is the one where something honest was said afterward.
That is why we do not sell leadership team building as entertainment. Our programs focus on experiential learning and skill transfer, and we tailor each one to the client’s objectives, group size and budget. A regional leadership meeting that needs alignment gets a different design from a newly formed team that needs trust.
Our approach is to pair an experience that creates real pressure, such as a race, a pitch or a profiling exercise, with a facilitator who helps leaders connect what happened to how they work together. We aim for measurable outcomes in engagement, collaboration and communication, and we agree on those with you at the start.
Whether you are choosing an app-based race at $40-55 per person or a premium DISC session, the question to start with is the same: what should be different in your next leadership meeting?

FAQ
What are good leadership activities for a small senior team?
Profiling workshops, business simulations and facilitated offsites suit small senior teams best. Examples are our DISC workshops and Office Shark Tank, where the learning comes from discussing how the team made decisions. Add a light challenge or shared meal if you want relationships to develop too.
How long should a leadership team activity be?
Half a day is a practical minimum for a profiling workshop or simulation, since the debrief needs real time. Active games can run 1.5 to 3 hours. Whatever the length, reserve a quarter or more of it for reflection and commitments.
How much do corporate leadership activities cost in Singapore?
Our published rates run from $35 to $159 per person depending on format: budget activities start at $35-45, quality programs at $65-90 and premium programs from $80 up to $159. Rentals are billed hourly. Final cost depends on group size, venue and customization, so request a quote.
Can leadership activities run during a conference or regional meeting?
Yes. Many are designed to fit around a meeting agenda, either in a venue nearby or at an outdoor location with transport arranged. Share your schedule and attendee mix, and we will suggest a format that fits the time window and has a wet-weather option.
Do leadership activities work for hybrid or mixed-ability groups?
They can, with the right design. Use clear roles, equal turn-taking and non-physical roles so that everyone contributes. Tell us about accessibility needs at the briefing stage so we can adapt the format.
