4. My Senior Buddy

5. Singapore Beach Clean Up
Singapore may be small, but it offers numerous outdoor spaces where you can enjoy nature. One of these spots is the beach! However, trash is sometimes left behind, and there may be no one to clean it up. Since outdoor spaces like the beach are an extension of our homes, it’s crucial to keep them clean and well-maintained.
Partner with AdvenTOUR to plan a fun and impactful company beach clean-up day! Your team can work together to collect and dispose of trash responsibly. The day will begin with a safety briefing and an overview of the procedures. Then, materials will be provided, and your team will be divided into smaller groups, each assigned to a different section of the beach.
To make the clean-up even more engaging, a mini competition can be held. The group that collects the most trash or finds the most unique piece of trash will be rewarded.
At the end of the activity, all collected trash will be gathered and properly disposed of. We’ll capture photos and videos throughout the event to create a memorable experience for your company. This is a great opportunity for team-building while making a positive impact on the environment!
6. Batam Turtle Hatchery Project
Did you know that only about one in 1,000 baby turtles survive to adulthood? Hatchlings face numerous dangers, including dehydration if they don’t reach the ocean quickly, and predation by birds, crabs, and other animals. Our mission is to increase the survival rate of baby turtles and help preserve our oceans!
We have partnered with a resort in Batam to build a turtle hatchery, aimed at protecting turtle eggs from nearby islands and providing a safe haven for baby turtles when they hatch. Our goal is for at least 90% of each batch of hatchlings to successfully make it into the ocean. This hatchery will serve as both an incubation center for turtle eggs and a facility to strengthen baby turtles before they are safely released back into the ocean.
The inspiration for this project came when The WOW Team learned about the resort’s location and discovered that turtles regularly lay eggs on the nearby beaches. Sadly, some eggs are taken by locals for food, and many baby turtles fail to reach the ocean due to coastal pollution.
The “Turtlery” (our affectionate name for the turtle hatchery and sanctuary) will offer a protected space for turtle eggs and provide a temporary home for newly hatched turtles, allowing them to grow stronger before being released at the optimal tide. This facility will also serve as an educational center for locals and students, teaching the importance of preserving marine life, especially turtles, and their vital role in ocean ecosystems.
