Empowering Youth Through Kin-Ball

Kinball sports for youths in Singapore to stay healthy and active

Over a few weekends, the Singapore Indian Development Association (SINDA) engaged Adventour Singapore to host an exciting Kin-Ball youth program — a dynamic initiative designed to promote teamwork, communication, and physical wellness among young participants. Held at a local indoor sports facility, this energetic event saw over 20 youths come together to experience the unique, fast-paced sport of Kin-Ball, many for the very first time.

What is Kin-Ball?

Kinball team sports in Singapore for youths

Kin-Ball is a cooperative team sport that uses a giant inflatable ball measuring 1.2 meters in diameter. It’s not just about speed and strength — it’s about strategy, inclusivity, and working as a team. Each match requires three teams to play simultaneously, making it a one-of-a-kind activity that teaches collaboration and adaptability.

Highlights from the Day

The event kicked off with warm-up exercises and an introduction to the rules of Kin-Ball. Participants were split into mixed teams, breaking the ice and encouraging interaction between different age groups. Adventour’s experienced facilitators led engaging activities and mini-games that helped the youth understand the flow and spirit of the sport.

Some key moments included:

  • Skill-building drills to enhance coordination and reaction time
  • Mini tournament rounds that brought out the competitive yet collaborative spirit
  • Team huddles and pep talks that promoted leadership and encouragement
  • Laughter and camaraderie as teams rallied together to keep the massive ball in play

More Than Just a Game

Beyond the fun and physical activity, the Kin-Ball program supported SINDA’s mission to foster holistic youth development. It offered a valuable platform for participants to build confidence, practice respectful communication, and embrace diversity in a supportive environment.

Adventour Singapore, known for their creative and purposeful team-building experiences, ensured that every aspect of the program aligned with character development goals. Facilitators incorporated reflective discussions to help youth connect the game’s principles with real-life skills — like resilience, trust, and collaborative problem-solving.

A Win for Youth Engagement

The Kin-Ball youth program was a resounding success, thanks to the strong partnership between SINDA and Adventour. Many participants left feeling more connected, inspired, and eager to try more unconventional sports that promote both fun and values.

This event is a great example of how sports can be a powerful tool to unite communities and empower young minds. As Adventour continues to innovate in the youth engagement space, we look forward to more exciting programs that combine physical activity with personal growth.
